Oliver's biography

Oliver is a 7+ and 8+ school entrance tutor specialist working in Clapham and surrounding areas.

Oliver has extensive experience of primary school teaching across London, including having worked as an Assistant Headteacher, SENDCo, Deputy Safeguarding Lead, Leader of Curriculum and Behaviour, KS2 Phase Leader and Leader of Science, Maths and PE. He has taught across the primary age range, from Reception to Year 6.

As part of his leadership role, Oliver ran regular 1:1 intervention sessions to help support both gifted and talented, SEN children and children at risk of falling behind academically due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. He looks to get the best out of children and support their unique learning needs.

Oliver is committed to the power of education and its transformational impact. He served as a school governor for 6 years, which included sitting on the curriculum and standards sub-committee. He has worked in a diverse range of schools in Highgate, Hampstead and Kilburn in his decade of teaching.

Oliver studied politics at degree and Masters level and has also worked in Parliament for two MPs and in public affairs for education and health charities. He is particularly passionate about children being active citizens and has run debating clubs during his time in school, including taking children to debate in Parliament and City Hall.
